Fourth-generation Tacoma trims that are not off-road focused come from the factory without the welded front frame cross member found on TRD Off-Road, TRD Pro, and Trailhunter models. Without this cross member, you cannot properly mount OEM TRD Pro or Trailhunter skid plates, NYTOP skid plates, or many popular aftermarket skid plate options due to two missing mounting points. Some 2026 model year Tacomas may now come equipped with a factory front frame crossmember. Please visually confirm your vehicle before ordering.

This Toyota Tacoma Front Frame Cross Member restores those missing M8 mounting holes, allowing proper installation of OEM and aftermarket skid plates while also adding increased chassis strength and front-end damage resistance. Precision TIG welded from ¼-inch high-strength steel and finished in a durable black powder coat, this cross member is built to handle real-world use on and off the trail.

Installation & Usage

The Front Frame Cross Member bolts directly into place using factory mounting locations for a clean, secure fit. Two M8 bolts are included for mounting OEM or aftermarket skid plates.

Torque Specifications:

• M12 bolts: 75 ft-lbs (101 Nm)
• M8 bolts: 21 ft-lbs (29 Nm)
