Finished in a durable wrinkle black powder coat, this skid cover is TIG welded from 3/16-inch and 5/8-inch high-strength steel to deliver serious protection where it matters most.

This skid replaces the factory plastic hitch cover and mounts directly to the hitch receiver and trailer safety chain attachment points, shielding both the hitch and rear bumper from rocks, obstacles, and trail impacts. Engineered with a 1/4–1/2 inch clearance, the design prevents contact with the plastic bumper while allowing for chassis flex—since the skid mounts to the frame and the bumper mounts to the body. This built-in gap also provides a small buffer during low-speed rear impacts.
